Wedding Policies & Guidelines
We are honored to host weddings at The Historic Ebenezer Methodist Church. These guidelines help ensure that every ceremony is respectful, organized, and centered on the sacred covenant of marriage.
Celebrate with Us! Our standard wedding ceremony package is $1,500 for an 8-hour block. This inclusive rate gives you full access to our historic sanctuary, the Bride’s Getting Ready Suite, and the Groomsmen Lounge.

Weddings must be scheduled 1 year in advance through the church office at office@ebenezermethodistchurch.org Couples are encouraged to complete Global Methodist based premarital counseling or a marriage preparation program prior to the ceremony. Dates are confirmed based on church availability and Senior Pastor approval.
Ministry Use of Facilities: The facilities of The Historic Ebenezer Methodist Church are consecrated sacred spaces dedicated to the worship of God. Venue usage for wedding ceremonies is treated as an exercise of our church’s religious ministry and faith practices.
The Marriage Covenant: In alignment with our scriptural convictions and denominational covenants, we recognize marriage as a holy, lifelong covenant ordained by God between one man and one woman. All ceremonies conducted in our sanctuary must conform to this definition and our church's statement of faith.
Community Welcome: We joyfully welcome Christian couples from various denominational backgrounds who share this covenant faith framework. Church membership is not required to request a booking.
Pastoral Authority: The pastoral leadership retains absolute discretion over the approval of all wedding applications, ceremony scripts, and outside officiants to ensure alignment with our church's religious doctrines.

Sanctuary seating capacity:130 Smaller rooms or alternative spaces may be available for intimate ceremonies. All guests must remain in designated seating areas during the ceremony for safety and order.

Total Ceremony Fee: $1,500 total investment.
Time Allotment: 8 full hours of exclusive venue access.
Reservation Deposit: 50% due at the time of booking to secure your date.
Balance Due: Remaining balance must be paid 6 months prior to the ceremony.
What is Included: Full use of the historic sanctuary, and all utility costs.

Wedding attire should reflect the sacred nature of Christian marriage. Modest and respectful dress is encouraged for all participants in the ceremony. Bridal party attire should be coordinated in advance with the church wedding coordinator.

Couples may access the sanctuary, bridal preparation room, and designated rehearsal areas as scheduled. Decorations must be approved in advance and should not damage church property (no nails, staples, or permanent adhesives). All decorations must be removed immediately following the ceremony unless otherwise arranged.
Available Spaces & Preparation Suites
The Main Sanctuary: Access to our historic, climate-controlled ceremony space.
Bride's Getting Ready Suite: Private, beautifully lit dressing room with mirrors and seating for the bridal party.
Groomsmen Lounge: Separate, comfortable hangout space for the groom and his party to relax before the ceremony.
Facility Hours: The 8-hour block includes your vendor arrival, decorating, guest arrival, ceremony, photos, and clean-up time.

Photography is permitted in designated areas during the ceremony. Flash photography may be restricted during key moments of worship. Videographers must remain in assigned positions to avoid disruption. We ask all photographers and videographers to respect the sacred atmosphere of the ceremony.

All music selections should be appropriate for a Christian worship setting. The church may provide approval or guidance on all ceremony music. Live musicians or recordings must be coordinated in advance with the wedding coordinator.

A rehearsal is typically scheduled 1–2 days before the wedding. All participants (wedding party, officiant, coordinator) are expected to attend. Rehearsals are time-limited and must begin promptly at the scheduled time.

The church is a place of worship; respectful behavior is expected at all times. Alcohol, smoking, and inappropriate conduct are not permitted on church grounds. The wedding coordinator reserves the right to address any disruptions during the event.

Alpha Marriage Course
The Course is also open to couples who are dating, engaged, or in a committed relationship, not just those who are already married. You do not need to be married to attend, just willing to invest in your relationship and take the next step together.
The Alpha Marriage Course is a 7-week series designed to help couples strengthen their relationship, build deeper connection, and develop practical tools for a healthy, lasting marriage. This course provides a supportive, faith-based environment where couples can explore key topics such as communication, conflict resolution, forgiveness, intimacy, and shared purpose. Whether your marriage is strong or facing challenges, the Alpha Marriage Course offers encouragement, wisdom, and practical skills for every stage of married life.
The course meets on Tuesdays from 5:30–7:30 PM, beginning in Spring and Fall.
